I've been in bed sick all day. Ugh. However, it gives me a lot of time to browse Jaloppositenik.

Where'd you get it? Ive never seen any in Canada. Is it better or worse than a CV?

These were used all over Ontario back in the 90s. Mine came from Niagara Regional police. It was a 1996 9C1 with fairly low miles. Some guy had to fight off a bunch of cabbies at the auction back in the day to get it. Those were very popular. He bought it, put in into storage for years where it sat and collected dust. I saw it on Kijiji one day and bought it on a whim. I wasn't even looking for a car at the time and had no idea what to do with it. I tossed around a few ideas of making LAPD cruiser out of it or just repainting it and making it a daily but after fixing all the quirks ended up selling it for more than I paid for it. Some guy showed up late at night, just looked around, gave me cash and drove it away. I thought it was kinda strange that he didn't drive it or anything. Maybe I wasn't asking enough but whatever.
It's hard to compare it to a Crown Vic. Caprice feels like it has more power off the line because I could do donuts in it without even trying. That could be due to crappy Goodyear RSAs that were on it though. Interior of the Caprice felt way shittier than Crown Vic. That's one thing I wasn't a fan of is the quality of the interior. Plastics felt very cheap in comparison to a Vic. Caprice feels roomier though, especially in the rear.
Overall Crown Vic feels more modern than a Caprice. I had a 96' Vic and a 96' Caprice at the same time and putting them side by side overall a Vic is a better car. It's not as powerful but more refined. Caprice felt more like a truck than a car. I still want another one, mostly because there are hardly any left.

I was out your way today. Needed to relax so I drove to Rockland and back. Pro tip: There is nothing interesting in Rockland.
